Jonathan Butterworth
As the Business Development Manager, Jonathan is the conduit between the SMART Network and ST Innovations. He is the liaison between entrepreneurs, principle investigators and researchers within the SMART Network, as well as outside agencies.
Originally from Milan, Italy, Jonathan has over fifteen years of business development, marketing, financial and international trade experience. Prior to joining ST Innovations, Jonathan was the Manager of Trade and Investment at Edmonton Economic Development Corporation (EEDC) where he uncovered many exciting partnerships and developed health innovation opportunities between Edmonton and Europe (Lipidomic studies, MRI Therapy and micro-circulation related technologies), contributing to Edmonton’s Health City, a health innovation ecosystem initiative.
He is a passionate connector who thrives on establishing strategic relationships that promote overall economic development and company growth.
